Biography

Addison Wood is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker. Graduating in 2024 from the University of Chicago, Addison studied experimental documentary practices alongside Latin American history and English literature. Most recently, Addison directed his undergraduate thesis Oroya, a documentary exploring the history of mining and pollution in the Central Andes of Peru.

At present, Addison is completing House of the Blind, a short horror film.


IN ADDITION TO HIS PERSONAL CREATIVE WORK, ADDISON WORKS AS A FREELANCE DIRECTOR AND PR MANAGER FOR A VARIETY OF ARTISTS AND SMALL BUSINESSES. HIS PRESS CAMPAIGNS HAVE RECEIVED COVERAGE IN PUBLICATIONS INCLUDING CNN, BBC, REUTERS, NPR, AND THE NEW YORK POST.
